Based in Wandsworth, London Map Marketing are leading publishers of a wide range of printed maps supplying both the wholesale trade and direct to end user clients. We have an immediate position available for a Cartographic Designer to join our small, hard working team using MapInfo to tailor make and produce bespoke, one off digital and printed maps for corporate clients.
The right candidate should have good experience of GIS, in particular MapInfo Pro or ArcGIS along with an interest in IT. Any experience using Map Basic would be a distinct advantage as would an aptitude for using graphic design packages such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or Corel.
The role involves a high level of front line customer interfacing; seeing each job through from discussing a client’s initial requirements to creating the final raster file ready for printing. The end product is a visual tool and as such an eye for clarity and aesthetics is an important aspect of the job.

We are looking for an individual who can complement our existing team whilst bringing with them a fresh set of ideas and skills. The role would suit a self-sufficient individual with a pragmatic approach to problem solving and would be an ideal first job for a recent graduate or person with a good level of experience using GIS.
If you are energetic, possess good communications skills and want to work as part of a small & vibrant team, we would like to hear from you now.
