Hi Linda
I'd love to know more about the specifics of this project, I might be able to help.
I've worked with disadvantaged and immigrant kids in New York City, 9-12 years old, making graphic narratives about their lives inspired by Anne Frank...
what about Marjane Satrapi, Persepolis?
also Marguerite Abouet, Aya, but that's for adolescents
there's a new graphic novel based on Anne Frank's diary "the Anne Frank hous authorized graphic biography" sid jacobson and ernie colon-- not beautiful but might be useful, depending on what you need.
For younger kids: Francoise Mouly's Toon Books
Actually Francoise Mouly would be a great person to talk with about this kind of project. Let me know if you would like to get in touch with her, I could help you with that.
