OK, TomJ. Here is my starter for 10 and the reason why I, as someone who doesnt draw, joined this network in the first place.
Survey type question: Who, on this network, uses drawing as a research tool or research output?
I am interested in the PROCESS of using drawing as way to discover something unrelated to 'pure art', particularly in respect to design of objects (whether realised or not).
Then I am interested in use of drawings in the METRICS of measuring academic outputs (dont shoot me yet, I didnt invent the metrics but am having to support the academics here who may not all want to submit sciency articles to mainstream journals).

I have almost given up on DRN because it is not living up to its title: an e-mail saying that X thinks Y's recent exhibition is really lovely is not by any definition research. Can we return to engaging in intelligent discussion, sharing useful information and conducting debates about the processes, values and directions of drawing - or am I being old fashioned and too academic about this ?
