Hi Alice

Thanks for your interest Yes I am looking to speak with people from all over the UK. I'm based in Newcastle, but my family are from Frome and Radstock so I would be more than happy to travel to Sailsbury. Please do pass on the information to anyone you think may be interested.

Best wishes

Ellie

Dear Ellie,

This sounds like an interesting project. You've sent your email to us in
Salisbury and I just wanted to check if you were interested in speaking to
women outside London or not.

Best wishes,

Alice

Subject: Research for animated documentary

Hi Everyone.

My name is Ellie Land, I am an animator who uses 2D drawing both analogue
and digitally. I am making an animated documentary for the Wellcome Trust on
the subject of labia surgery.

The aim of this film is to be research led, supported with women's real life
experiences, to look at the reasons why women want labia surgery and why it
can be a necessary operation. The overall goal is for this film to play an
important role in sexual health education for women worldwide, with the
intention that it will be screened at international film festivals and used
as an educational tool in women's groups and charities internationally.

The film style will use a combination of both animation and anonymous
interviews. The use of animation means that I can allow the women to tell
their stories without their identity being shown - no faces of the women
will be used in this film.

I am looking to speak with women who have had or are wanting labia surgery,
to help me with my research. If you can help me with my research or if you
know of anyone who has had or is thinking of having labia surgery, please
message me fore an off the record, confidential chat.

I look forward to hearing from you
