In my view, it's precisely because it fails to discuss any significant modes
of validation (problematic as they might be) that the extract is not at all
informative.
Since I may not be expressing myself very clearly, I could rephrase the
question: what makes you think that what you describe as "the ever-present
validation process" in the extract "seems to be in place with major poetry
publishers"?
(I'm not arguing with you. I'm just curious!)
