The Anti Fascist Footprints East End Walk
The Anti Fascist Footprints tour is a walk through the 1930s East End from Gardiners Corner to Cable Street.
This walk will also answer many questions:
Who was Oswald Mosley and why did he target the Jews?
What was the Jewish People's Council?
Who was Phil Piratin and what did he do?
What happened at Paragon Mansions?
Who did what at the Battle of Cable Street on October 4th?
The East End Walks brings to life the people and places of the East End especially from the1880s to the 1930s.
From the time when Jews arrived in large numbers from Eastern Europe to the time when they united with non-Jewish Eastenders to drive out Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists in the Battle of Cable Street.
Anti Fascist Footprints" tour takes about two hours. It is suitable for people of all ages from teenagers to pensioners
