This message is for organisational members of ALT contemplating bidding
under the JISC Digital Literacies Call, deadline 8 June 2011. The call
can be accessed here: http://goo.gl/oTVqc.
You will have noted that one of the five evaluation criteria for bids is
"Engagement with the community"
against which the call document includes
"Does the bid include a partnership with a relevant sector body or
professional association to support the communication, dissemination and
benefits realisation activities?"
as a question that evaluators will be considering.
ALT is a relevant sector body or professional association.
Last week ALT's Trustees approved the following brief policy in relation
to this particular aspect of the call:
"To seek and to accept small scale involvements in proposals being made
by member organisations under the call, provided such involvements sit
reasonably comfortably with ALT's strategy and with our standard,
steady-state activities, at the same time being even-handed between, and
maintaining confidentiality between, competing proposals."
Our strategy is available here: http://repository.alt.ac.uk/880/ and our
steady-state activities are described on the ALT web site at
http://www.alt.ac.uk/.
If you wish to discuss an ALT involvement in a proposal, please contact
me and I will do my best to help.
