A one day symposium entitled 'The History and Heritage of the Post-war Council Estate: exploring changing landscapes and cultural life' will be held at Bishop Grosseteste University College, Lincoln, on Thursday 30 June 2011.
The keynote speaker will be Owen Hatherley, author of A Guide to the New Ruins of Great
Britain (Verso 2010) which has been described as "A darkly humorous architectural guide to the decrepit new Britain that neoliberalism built."
