Starting Salary - From £35,935 per annum
MRC Human Nutrition Research (HNR) is a specialist Unit from within the Medical Research Council that is dedicated to nutrition research aimed at improving human health. HNR also acts as an independent, authoritative source of scientific advice and information on nutrition and health in order to foster evidence-based nutrition policy and practice.
We are seeking an experienced Biostatistician to undertake statistical research relevant to nutrition and to provide expert statistical advice to advance work at HNR in collaboration with internal and external research and survey teams. The successful applicant will be expected to act with a high level of independence in their own research and to determine appropriate analytical methodologies for the work of the unit, including new approaches to tackle specific questions where needed.
Applicants for this post will have a PhD or equivalent together with substantial research experience in biostatistics. Knowledge of nutrition, dietary assessment and nutritional epidemiology is desirable but not essential.
This is a full time, open ended position with salary dependant on qualifications and experience. In addition to your salary we offer a flexible pay and reward policy, 30 days annual leave, free on site car parking and optional membership of MRC's final salary pension scheme.
