3) Research Workshop in Multilevel Modelling using MLwiN (5 - 7 September 2011)
- note the extended application deadline of 31-May-11
This workshop is designed for researchers who have some experience of
multilevel modelling, but now wish to apply it to their own data. This is an
intensive workshop which aims to take researchers to a point where they have
the skills and confidence to specify multilevel models appropriate to their
research questions, to estimate models in MLwiN, and to interpret the results.
Prices
* PhD Students; £125
* Academic researchers; £215
* Non-academic researchers (e.g., government and private sector); £660
The prices include a set of MLwiN manuals, lunch and refreshments every day,
and one meal at a local restaurant

4) Multilevel modelling course, 8-9 December 2011 - please note change from
previously-advertised date.
As part of the Royal Statistical Society Professional Development
Centre programme of training courses, Harvey Goldstein and George Leckie are
presenting their 2-day course on Multilevel Modelling:
This two-day course is designed to give participants an introduction to the
theory and application of multilevel models. The course will be based around
theoretical sessions followed by 'hands-on' sessions illustrating the
theoretical concepts. The practical sessions will use the MLwiN software
package.
For: Applied quantitative researchers with an interest in the analysis of
hierarchically structured data. Previous participants have included
statisticians and researchers from the social sciences, medicine, public health
and government.
