With apologies for cross-posting, the following may be of interest to members of this list; please draw to the attention of anyone who may be interested in applying:
http://www.jobs.ac.uk/job/ACR609/senior-research-assistant-research-fellow/ (fixed term for 2 years)
From the advert:
"A key element of TSRC's work is the analysis of large-scale quantitative datasets, such as social surveys (both longitudinal and cross-sectional) and databases on organisations (such as the Charity Commission's register).
You will work on quantitative analyses of these and related datasets, to support the centre's research programme. You will also contribute, as required, to short-term research and consultancy activities, and will support bids for future funding (e.g. through scoping exercises or preliminary analyses).
You will have postgraduate training in a relevant social science (e.g. sociology, social statistics, social policy, politics, economics, geography) involving a substantial quantitative component. Knowledge of current developments in the UK third sector and knowledge of UK data sources is desired."
Closing date 17th June. I am happy to respond to queries (initially via [log in to unmask]) but am away from 29 May - 10 June inclusive. Alternatively inquiries can be directed to Peter Smith ([log in to unmask]).
There will be a further advert for a research post at TSRC (not restricted to those with quantitative skills) in the next week or two - watch this space!
