Dear all,
Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation
leading the fight against corruption.
TI is most commonly known for its annual publication of the Corruption
Perception's Index (CPI). This is a composite indicator of corruption
perceptions in 178 countries world wide, drawing on a number of
different surveys and assessments. To ensure the integrity of our index
we have established an Index Advisory Committee (IAC), which comprises
of professionals in policy and academia and with whom we consult with on
key methodological issues relate to the CPI and other corruption
measurement tools.
We are currently reviewing the CPI methodology and are investigating
alternative approaches and statistical techniques. As a result, we are
seeking support from a statistician with experience in composite
indicators and an interest in governance.
If you would be interested in joining the IAC, or providing less formal
guidance and support in appropriate statistical methods used in the
construction of the CPI (particularly standradisation, rescaling and
imputation), please contact me at this email address.
