The Clinical Neuroscience Laboratory (CNS) and the Center for Assessment
and Prevention of Prodromal States (CAPPS) at UCLA, under the direction
of Tyrone Cannon, are looking for a full time research assistant to serve as
a Magnetic Resonance (MR) Technician and analyze imaging data for
various lab projects.
The position will include being responsible for scanning subjects on
structural and functional MRI protocols and analyzing the resulting data
using Cortical Pattern Matching, FSL, and local structural imaging tools.
Conducting and training students on brain image extraction and sulcal
tracing on 3D brain surfaces is a major component of the position. In
addition, the job will include pilot testing, recruiting and training testers for
various batteries, programming and debugging behavioral tasks in Matlab
and E-prime, and assisting in developing and updating IRB protocols, as
well as basic behavioral data analysis.
