Applications are invited for a post-doctoral MR physicist to work within
the Acute Brain Injury Group of Professor David Menon within the
Division of Anaesthesia and Wolfson Brain Imaging Centre funded by a 3
year grant from the European Union. This post is available immediately
and the post holder will complement the existing programme of research
that is being funded in the Division of Anaesthesia and Wolfson Brain
Imaging Centre to investigate the use of 3T MR spectroscopy in defining
the extent of injury and outcome following acute head injury.
Applicants must hold a PhD degree and have prior experience and
expertise in the use of MR spectroscopy including data handling, image
reconstruction, processing and analysis through the use of a variety of
software tools including LCModel and MRUI. Computer programming skills
and competency with Matlab, Analyze, SPM, and other relevant packages as
required is expected.
