Hi Linling,
it would be a shame to have to go with less information then you
acquired, and to introduce interpolation artifacts on top of that, so
trying to find a machine running a 64bit windows/linux with a lot of RAM
might be worthwhile, as well as trying what Matlab suggests in the "out
of memory" error message, as well as fiddling with the segmentation
options. If all that is not feasible, there are scripts to resize images
to a different dimension, for example resize_img.m by Ged Ridgway at
http://www.cs.ucl.ac.uk/staff/G.Ridgway/vbm/
