Subject: Re: Retention Guidelines Town and Country Planning Act 1947 recent
Ombudsman ruling on destruction of statutory planning documents
I have no experience in this area and am not familiar with the Town and
Country Planning Act. However, if a planning application/decision has
conditions attached to it, I would suggest that it makes sense to retain the
related documents until the term of the conditions have expired plus
whatever period is relevant in relation to the Limitations Act i.e. to treat
it in the same way as a contract (for the period of the contract plus x
years).
Regards,
Eldin.
