The circular structure that you refer to opposite Llannerch-y-mor lead
works is the remains of the works chimney.
The smelting works operated from the mid-eighteenth century to about 1900,
and is the only Flintshire lead smelting works with substantial buildings
remaining. It is now the headquarters and one of the outlets of Abakhan
Fabrics -- see their website, which has a photo of the building as it is now.

I'm trying to find a colliery with a remaining cupola (chimney) over the
furnace shaft - can anyone help please (non-English examples welcome).
I've got a hint of one at Llanerch-y-mor, near Mostyn in Flintshire (SJ)
317522.379173, at what is said to be the site of South Mostyn Colliery
(questionable). Google Earth reveals a circular structure in trees
across the A54 from what used to the North Wales Lead Works - a fine
looking building which is now some sort of emporium. Old maps suggests
that the cupola might be a limekiln!
Thanks for any offers.
