Researcher/Research Coordinator Post
Division of Health & Social Care Research, King's College London
Applications are invited for a Researcher/Research Co-ordinator to contribute to a large multi-site NIHR funded programme of research on Donation, Transplantation and Ethnicity (DonaTE) led by Prof Myfanwy Morgan.
This is a challenging and varied position requiring both project management and research skills. The post holder will be a member of the core team with responsibility for co-ordinating the overall programme of research. This will include liaising with R&D and hospital sites in setting up studies, producing newsletters and presentational materials and organising team meetings. They will also have a research role and work with the study team in conducting User group meetings, designing and administering questionnaires, undertaking data analysis and writing reports and papers.
The successful applicant will have previous research and co-ordination experience, ideally in an academic environment, together with a background in Social Science, Psychology, Research Methods or a related subject. Demonstrable high level organisation and time management skills, and strong communication skills are essential.
The appointment will be made, dependent on relevant qualifications and experience, within the Band 6 scale, currently £30,634 - £40,406, per annum, inclusive of London Allowance. The appointment is until Sept 2013 and is part-time (up to 80%) with hours to be negotiated (salary pro-rata).The post is based at Guys campus.
