Hello All,
Further to the copyright related emails last week a concern has been raised by our training librarians. We run training sessions for teaching critical appraisal skills. The idea is that copies of an article are made by the librarians and handed round to those attending the session. Attendees than write notes on them throughout the session, with the idea that they can keep the article with the notes as a reminder of what was covered.
Is the copying of an article and handing to a training session audience for the reason that everyone attending the session can use it to practice appraisal skills, within copyright?
The attendees can be university students or NHS staff.
The librarians have a short list 3 articles which they rotate through and would every now and then choose new articles to stop the session getting boring.
Thanks
