Hello,
A while ago I posted a query regarding KPI's - I have been asked to review our Performance Indicators and reduce to 6-8 KPI's - and was interested to know what KPI's colleagues were using.
I received 10 responses in total, some expressing an interest in any responses I received.
Here is a summary -
* Measure of Use of Library - including number of people coming though the door / reader visits/ reader satisfaction/ visits to library or LRC website or VLE / number of enquiries/ number or items issued (often) by category/ including items left on desks / number of issues per item held number of eResources / number of external readers / number of items catalogued (this was from a library with lots of retrospective cataloguing to do)
* KPI's reflect strategic aims of college and follow through to SAR
* Provision of Learning Resources - learning resources meet the requirements of the curriculum
* Customer Service - staff are knowledgeable and responsive to customers' needs and support students individual learning
* Dissemination of information - staff are regularly informed of new acquisitions, forthcoming publications and journal literature relevant to their area of learning.
* KPI's are measured in staff and student surveys against targets set by SMT.
* National Library of Scotland's list of KPI's -( very interesting, thanks Paul) http://www.nls.uk/media/907778/2009-2010-performance%20review.pdf
Thanks to all who responded it was appreciated and has made my task easier
Regards,
