9th Northumbria International Conference on Performance Measurement in
Libraries and Information Services: “Proving Value in Challenging Times”

We are pleased to announce that online registration for the 9th Northumbria
Conference is now open. A wide variety of proposals have been received which
promise to provide an exciting programme for the Conference, including
papers on value, impact and outcomes; statistics and quantitative
measurement; and quality in library and information services.
The Conference programme also features a number of interesting workshop
sessions, which include an optional full day session on Friday 26th August
after the main conference. Visit the Conference website (link below) for

We are also delighted to announce that Dr. Carol Tenopir from the University
of Tennessee, Knoxville; Professor Sheila Corrall from the University of
Sheffield; Dr. Michiel Kolman from Elsevier; Dr. Michael Jubb from the
Research Information Network and Professor Trevor Sheldon from the
University of York will be providing keynote speeches at the Conference.
Two packages are on offer to register for the Conference:
1) Residential Registration: Attendance at all days of the Conference,
Conference Dinner at the National Railway Museum and 3 nights’ Bed and
Breakfast Accommodation.
Cost: £445 (early bird until 15th May), or £495 (after 15th May). Optional
extra nights’ accommodation are available for £45 per night.
2) Non-Residential Registration: Attendance at all days of the
Conference and Conference Dinner at the National Railway Museum.
Cost: £395 (early bird until 15th May), or £445 (after 15th May)
