I am working for a TOP 5 Pharmaceutical company who have a vacancy for an Observational Research Manager. This person will be focussed specifically within Oncology and will be responsible for leading specific observational research projects however prior Oncology is not an essential the real focus is on the observational research experience.
Our client are willing to look at a range of backgrounds; Epidemiology, Pharmacovigilance ( safety outcomes), Health Economics but candidates must have a high observational research content within their experience.
Key Activities:
•Leads specific observational research projects within a product team or therapeutic area making significant contributions to scientific direction
•Responsible for conducting high-quality observational research to support product strategy within TA
•Contribute to observational research throughout the product commercialization process
•Supports development of risk management plans
•Stays abreast of the latest developments in the field of observational research and drug development and contributes to the field
•Promotes understanding and use of state of the art observational research methods
•Communicates significant scientific information to a variety of audiences
Basic Qualifications
•Masters degree (or PhD) in Epidemiology, Health Economics, Outcomes Research or other subject with high observational research content or Medical degree with observational research experience
•Experience in life sciences or medically related field
•Experience of observational research, within one of the following areas of: clinical epidemiology, pharmacovigilance (safety outcomes), health economics. Candidates should have some observational research work on their CV
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience in oncology observational research
•Record of publications in observational research
•Experience in research to support drug development
•Experience in observational research project planning and management
•Experience communicating observational research information (written and oral)
•Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
•Knowledgeable in
•Observational research study designs and analysis
•Programming in SAS or other software (e.g. STATA)
•Literature search methods
•Observational research methodology and applications within Drug Development
•Drug development process and operations
•Observational research databases
•Adverse drug experience data
The role is paying upto £60,000 negotiable dependent on experience and is based just outside West London.
