Dear All
I'm mailing to ask for your assistance. At this year's ISMRM in Montreal, we're running a session
called 'What Went Wrong?' (a.k.a. "The Artefacts Game Show"). This will be a highly interactive
session where an artefact is presented on the screen and selected members from the audience will
get to 'compete' for identifying the most number of artefacts correctly.
Once the artefact is guessed correctly, there will then be an explanation of what caused the
artefact - and what the solution might be.
To this end......we're asking for your help. Please search around for artefacts in your data (we
don't have any in CUBRIC) and contribute to the session. Ideally, we'd like you to be prepared
for
2 minutes of fame - to come onto the podium and provide the explanation and the potential fix.
(Although - if you're keen to submit an artefact, but not keen to present - that's fine too - just
let us know)
I attach a template for your submission (intentionally not fancy - so that things can be readily
homogenized later)
If you are able to contribute something - then please email *directly* to Charlie -( [log in to unmask])
- who will send you the template to work with (I tried to attach it to this email - but my message
got bounced by the mailserver)
Some examples to get you thinking (courtesy of Charlie), follow at the end of the email - but note,
artefacts from post-processing are also welcome.
Many thanks in advance for helping out with this - and thanks to Steve for ok-ing me to use the FSL
list for this!
Derek
