I had a report after the briefing from someone who spoke to Beacher
during lunch. Apparently he said he was more than 90% certain it would
go ahead but I think it's all pretty much off record at the moment.
Apart from anything else there seems to be a lack of a plan B!

I must admit I used to feel it was a "done deal" before the start of the
US Test but I'm less sure about that now, especially after hearing
Beacher Wiggins say that there is a range of possible implementation
decisions from a straightforward yes to a straightforward no, but with
lots of grey areas in between. So now I'm just waiting for the
announcements with interest to see what happens.
Anyone else got any opinions on this?
