The M.A. Digital Performance is a one year full time (2 years PT) course and will be based at our new future-media resource at MCUK. Students will have access to a range of facilities including Television and Recording Studios, High End Editing Suites, Animation Studios and a purpose built Digital Media Performance Laboratory. The MA Digital Performance course takes an unrivalled broad interdisciplinary approach to the study of performance in relation to a range of technologies. You’ll be working in a state of the art, experimental environment, in which new paradigms of performance will be encouraged and developed on a campus where your next door neighbours are the BBC, BBC Philharmonic, ITV, Lowry Arts Centre and surrounded by a large number of small independent new media companies.
Applicants with good degrees in Performance, Music, Dance, Media Arts and those with relevant professional experience from other disciplines will be selected on the basis of a research project proposal that will form the starting point for the course.
To accommodate those already in employment most of our formal lectures will take place in the evenings.
