One Year Research Fellowship in Quality of Life research within the EORTC Quality of Life Department
The EORTC (European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer), is a Brussels-based international organization under Belgian law whose aims are to promote and coordinate cancer research in Europe. It operates through a network of more than 460 hospitals on an international basis addressing both pre-clinical and clinical aspects of cancer treatment.
The EORTC QOL Department based in Brussels has a research fellowship for:
BIOSTATISTICIAN/CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST/EPIDEMIOLOGIST (m/f)
The Research Fellow will be involved in a broad range of topics in Health Related Quality of Life, Symptom Research and Cancer Clinical Trials. The training offers the opportunity to learn about many aspects of quality of life assessment, clinical trial design, statistics, psychometrics and health related quality of life and cancer related symptom research.
The ideal candidate would have a Master’s in biostatistics or clinical psychology. Experience in statistical software packages (ideally SAS and SPSS) are preferred, as well a strong methodological background in empirical research or
clinical psychology. Experience in writing publications, abstracts and grants is desired. Team spirit is a major factor we shall be looking for in this fellowship. A very good command of English, both spoken and written, is also essential.
