Thought it was an April fool!!!
Should have had some shares - started at 3p and now up to 17p.
I fear it rather spoils negotiations over Lorenzo as one way or another CSC now has control of the IT in most UK trusts through the size of the iSoft portfolio. Will probably fall back on the selling old stuff and we'll be tied into interim solutions for another decade.
We may need to watch out for a hike in maintenance and interface costs as they try to revive the revenue stream to keep the new shareholders happy. Still it could have been worse - a hedge fund or bank could have bought them.
I guess one other outcome might be that they demerge the business and hive off pathology / diagnostics. That could actually be a good thing as it would free it from the corporate stranglehold.
Not for us to reason why...................
