Yes that's sort of echoing some of what I was thinking after reading the discussions - perhaps that 2 "levels" are needed, more in depth for cataloguers working more regularly/on more complex items and a more "the basics and why it's needed" for those doing more basic cataloguing/how to explain it for those who need an understanding but not the full nuts and bolts...

Something I would be very interested in would be around conveying the basics of FRBR to a non professional team. What are the key things to explain to a multiskilled team who do quite a lot of copy cataloguing, and just 'keep their hand in' with original cataloguing. This means most of them won't want the full FRBR intricacies, but will need some (non-confused) understanding of why it matters!
