Like Celine quite a lot of our faceting is done using Leader/007/008. I've not yet spoken to our systems staff about the impact of 336-8. Has anyone else broached this yet?

We have both already, as I said. Lots of other libraries do too - maybe look for example at the OPAC of the University of Chicago or of Stanford who are now actively cataloguing in RDA but whose databases are obviously full of the existing AACR2 records (there is no effort to retrospectively convert these to RDA, only certain aspects such as authorised headings may be subject to change).
While records are still in MARC format, there are not particularly big differences and may hardly be noticed by users (cataloguers are another story altogether!). The biggest issue I've identified so far is the loss of GMD and therefore needing to figure out how to deal with 336-338 fields in the OPAC (though a lot of this faceting by format/carrier, etc is actually done using Leader/007/008 codes rather than gmd anyway, according to our systems staff but I can imagine this isn't the case everywhere).
