Thank you Gordon for those links - I can recommend the document on "RDA and
the eXtensible catalog" and will be looking through Gordon's presentation
over lunch!
Maybe this is a good time to post some more general discussion
questions/topics for this afternoon's part of the e-forum. Feel free to
move onto these or to continue talking about the general awareness of RDA
topics that have already come up this morning.
These are just some opening topics to think about, many of which have
already come up in the course of this morning's discussion. Feel free to
add more questions/comments of your own on issues around training and
workflows:
How much have you already shared with colleagues about RDA?
Do you have any plans for training at your place of work?
Have you anticipated what might happen to your workflows during and
immediately after training?
Have you discussed this with senior staff/management? If so, what kind of
reaction have you had?
What are your thoughts about costings?
Have you used the Toolkit? How did you find it?
Are you planning to do, or have you done any kind of testing at your place
of work?
Have you attended anything particularly useful for training/preparation for
RDA?
Have you read anything particularly helpful that you would recommend to
others?
What training opportunities would you like there to be in the UK?
