Post-doctoral position in Type Ia supernova
Multidisciplinary Centre for Astrophysics (CENTRA:

We invite applications for a post-doctoral research position in the
filed of Type Ia supernova. The researcher will work on the reduction
and analysis of observations of Type Ia Supernovae and their host
galaxies. Preference will be given to candidates with research
experience in the fields of supernovae and cosmology with supernovae,
and experience in observations and data reduction of optical/NIR
photometry and spectroscopy. Experience in galaxy formation and
evolution, and integral field spectroscopy will be an added benefit.
The candidates should have obtained, by the starting date, a Ph.D. in
astrophysics or a closely related field. To apply, send by email to Dr.

The position is funded within a research project from the Portuguese
Foundation of Science and Technology. The appointment is for two years
and is available immediately. The net salary will be 17940 EUR/year plus
social security benefits and allowance for attending conferences.
