Dear all
The ESRC is pleased to announce that the ESRC Festival of Social Science will be taking place in 2011. Following feedback and consultation with event organisers and attendees, we have moved the Festival to take place from 29 October to 5 November.
Applications to participate in the Festival are now welcome and are available at: www.esrcfestival.ac.uk
There are two types of application forms:
a) applying for support of up to £2000 - due 3 June
b) applying for event to be listed - not supported - due 17 June
The ESRC welcomes event applications highlighting social science research targeting a non-academic audience including young people, the thrid sector, the public, business or government. The guidelines around the aims of the Festival and how to apply are in the Application Guidelines under Organise An Event.
Organisations external to the ESRC are welcome to apply for support and to participate in the Festival. In the past, organisations, government agencies and academics in other disciplines have used the Festival as an opportunity to develop collaborations with social science researchers.
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact the Festival Team at [log in to unmask] .
We are very excited the Festival is taking place in the autumn and we are looking forward to receiving many creative applications!
Melanie
