Two new vacancies for communications managers at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment
The Grantham Research Institute was established at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2008. The Institute brings together international expertise on economics, as well as finance, geography, the environment, international development and political economy, to establish a world-leading centre for policy-relevant research, teaching and training on climate change and the environment.
The Institute is seeking a policy communications manager and a public communications manager to play leading roles in increasing the impact of our work.
Public Communications Manager vacancy at the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change and the Environment
Salary: From £40,484 - £46,897.00 per annum inclusive, with potential to progress to £52,751 per annum inclusive.
Status: Fixed term, initially for two years
The Grantham Research Institute is seeking a highly motivated professional to play a leading role in increasing the impact of the work of the Institute through improving its engagement with the public, in the UK and abroad.
Candidates would be expected to have an excellent understanding and knowledge of social science issues relating to climate change, experience of developing and managing diverse public engagement programmes, and outstanding communications skills, including experience of writing and commissioning articles both for the media and for a lay audience.
The post will involve carrying out tasks outside normal office hours and some national and international travel.
