Workshop description
A workshop for those involved in intranet management, offering you a day of discussing and learning about features for knowledge sharing and collaboration for your intranet and about how to design an environment where these will contribute to your organisation’s goals. The day will help you to:
• Understand the benefits of tools in the intranet environment for knowledge sharing and collaboration
• Select and design features for the organisation’s intranet that are appropriate to its objectives and culture
• Set realistic goals for developing a collaborative environment and tools
• Design a realistic route for achieving your goals, with milestones and a variety of launch styles
Who should attend:
Intranet and web managers and others with intranet responsibilities seeking to expand their understanding of collaborative and knowledge sharing features of intranets and to take their organisations’ intranets to the next level.
Course Presenter: Dion Lindsay
Dion is a trained and experienced workshop facilitator and runs Dion Lindsay Consulting, specialising in knowledge management and organisational learning. Over the last 6 years he has run more than 20 workshops and in-house training courses for information professionals. He is consulted by large charities and membership organisations on knowledge sharing and collaboration strategies and has 23 years’ experience of working in information management in the public sector. He is a Trustee of CILIP, the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals, a longtime member and currently organiser of the UKeiG’s Intranet Forum, and Intranets editor for Elucidate, UKeiG’s e-journal on emerging and popular topics in electronic information.
