Emma - I think creating an extraordinary candidates forum on LISNPN is a
great idea. Could it also be open to other people who have gone down the
Pathway 2 route, such as those who have achieved Certification and then
gone on to working towards Chartership? This is the route I'm going
down, and I think all Pathway 2 candidates would value being part of
this discussion, as they'll face similar issues.

Hi,
I'm another extraordinary candidate (I've got an overseas degree and I
am currently working in an advisor role).
I'm just about to submit my PPDP, but I am unsure if I need to complete
2 years of professional experience after registering, or if it is ok to
include previous professional experiences. Has anyone been in the same
situation as me before? Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated!
How about us extraordinary candidates create a forum on LISNPN? It would
be a lovely way to exchange experiences and create a network.
Many thanks,

Hi - I Chartered in 2007 - I think I was one of the first group of
'extraordinary' candidates to submit after the change in regs. It took
about 9-10 months for my portfolio to be accepted and I was asked to
submit an extra piece of work to illustrate my knowledge of wider
professional issues.
I am currently CSO for S.Wales (CDG) and I always tell candidates that
it can be a long process after submission - but most people usually get
there in the end so it's definitely worth the effort . . .
Good Luck & Best Wishes to you all
Pat.

Hi,
I'm also resubmitting, it's really good to hear I'm not alone. I
registered at the beginning of 2006, put together a portfolio at the
beginning of 2009, made a hash of it, had a baby and thought about
quitting, but it's become my nemesis and I have to conquer it or feel
defeated forever! Would love to be in touch with others, it's a lonely
business being extraordinary!!
