Thanks, good help... I also have an opposite problem, how to get an
external 7.1 sound chip to let sound get into the Toshiba. The internal
chip is so noisy it cannot be used by a pro-level mike... but this is
linux, sound server bugs but which is converging with Mac so in about 6
months I'll be able to get an i7 Macbook Pro with 8 GB...... Linux sound
software makes Maya and Blender look like kindergarten stuff. The sins
of my youth, a degree in poetry writing and media arts. I should have
stayed with theoretical physics!
Rose Garden is my biggest interest, BTW. and this works on a Mac. Being
able to compose sound using a score and Steinway samples.
