FILM AND MEDIA 2011: The First Annual London Film and Media Conference is pleased to announce that it has now accepted a total of 170 papers, on a wide array of local and global media themes, for its inaugural event at the Institute of Education, London, on 12-14 July 2011. Proposals will continue to be accepted until the Revised Final Deadline of 31 March 2011. ‘Early Bird’ online registration opens any day now and continues until the end of April, when standard rates apply. MeCCSA is the subject association for the field of media, communication and cultural studies in UK Higher Education. Membership is open to all who teach and research these subjects in HE institutions, via either institutional or individual membership. The field includes film and TV production, journalism, radio, photography, creative writing, publishing, interactive media and the web; and it includes higher education for media practice as well as for media studies.
