SRG Clinical have been recruiting within the clinical trials industry since 1991. SRG Clinical are a niche staffing agency specialising in Biostatistics, Clinical Data Management, Programming, Clinical Operations, Medical Affairs, Pharmacovigilance and Regulatory Affairs.
We are currently recruiting for a permanent Project Statistician for an affiliate of a major US pharmaceutical company who conduct clinical trials in over 30 countries globally. The companies primary focus for 2011 is to expand and grow within the European market and the role itself will offer International travel around Europe and USA along with the opportunity to be promoted within the position itself. You will need to have a good understanding of the pharmaceutical market and use your statistical expertise to form strategies and innovative statistical solutions. The position itself will be primarily based around later phase trials within oncology and a successful candidate will need to have a deep understanding of statistics across all phases of clinical trials. You will perform statistical analysis and interpretation of data and ensure that projects are completed to a high standard to meet current regulations alongside strict deadlines.
You can be based in one of their 3 majors sites in Europe including the UK, Germany, France and with an excellent salary package and benefits. The company are committed to developing their staff and are keen to expand their presence in the European market. Flexibility with home working is a potential opportunity once you have become established in the role.
You must be eligible to work in the EEA and be able to travel internationally. In addition, excellent written and verbal skills are required for the role. If you are considering one of the mainland Europe sites then some ability in their native language would be ideal.
A successful candidate will have:
· A minimum of an MSc in a statistics or mathematics based degree, or the equivalent.
· A strong background working within industry, either in a pharmaceutical company or Contract Research Organisation (CRO).
· Experience of all phases of clinical trials is necessary with a particular focus in phases 3 and 4.
· Ability to problem solve and form strategies
· A solid understanding of the clinical and pharmaceutical market
· Experience in designing studies and project management is essential
· Excellent communication skills at all levels
