Our Client is a major service provider, well known and respected, have several additional analytical roles which have arisen through growth.  Your input and great ideas will be well received as you will be supporting a diverse range of products.  Our Client has achieved their status through a strong track record of delivering award winning customer services.

Potential Potholders should be:

Bright, articulate, independent, self starter - pragmatic with good technology skills (pricing and data tools egg: SAS, Emblem, What if, SPSS, etc).  You will have a proven track record of delivery and innovation. We are searching for special analysts who can hit the ground running and make a mark on pricing and the wider business implications.  You will have the potential to be a future leader within the business 

As a Pricing Analyst, based in both London and Southern Home Counties, your role will include:

Gathering required data (qualitative and quantitative) for analytical and/or modelling purposes, from agreed internal and/or external sources, in line with all mandatory data management, reporting and legal/regulatory requirements.
Cleaning and validating information collected to ensure accuracy and reliability, as far as possible. Running required calculations, models and analyses using relevant data systems and/or spreadsheets and following agreed processes, policies and procedures.
Analysing information to identify variances, trends, anomalies, etc and explain, highlight and/or refer relevant issues to others as appropriate.
Preparing and presenting required reports, forecasts and other outputs to agreed standards in terms of timeliness, content and presentation on a regular and ad hoc basis as required.
Taking all reasonable steps to ensure the accuracy and reliability of output, providing appropriate guidance to others on implications and interpretation.

To progress your application you will need to have:

Degree in mathematics, economics, statistics or similar (or have relevant work experience) Ideally you’ll be a studying towards an Actuarial or Statistical qualification. A Good commercial awareness and general understanding of the wider financial services market is essential.  A candidate that can combine technical expertise with business knowledge to extrapolate insights from complex or limited data.  Together with the above you will possess a strong data analysis, communication and relationship management skills 

As a Senior Consultant, based in London/Home Counties, your role will include

Gathering data for analytical and modelling purposes from agreed internal and external sources.  Validating information collected to ensure accuracy and reliability as far as possible.  
Adapting and operating actuarial and statistical models to meet business needs and requirements that may include pricing models and rate tables.  The ability to develop models as required to support and inform business activities and decisions.

To progress this exciting role 
Hold a Degree in mathematics, economics, statistics or similar ( or have relevant work experience ) You’ll will  be a fully qualified Actuarial or Statistical qualification, possessing good commercial awareness and general understanding of the wider financial services market. Your repertoire will include technical expertise with business knowledge to extrapolate insights from complex or limited data together with strong data analysis, communication and relationship management skills.  Your skills will demonstrate your ability to support commercial business and contribute to the overall development of commercial pricing strategy.  As you will be applying actuarial principles you’ll ideally have knowledge of actuarial techniques, as well as proven data handling skills and a strong mathematical ability. It’s a rewarding role where you’ll make a big impact on pricing strategy. Additionally, you’ll be able to look forward to significant career opportunities in other UK pricing areas, as well as internationally in the future
