Abstract submission deadline for the 3rd Nordic-Baltic Biometric
Conference (NBBC11) is closing fast (April 1st, 2011)!
NBBC11 will take place in Turku, Finland 5-9 June 2011. Registration and
abstract submission are open and can be done via the conference website
http://www.nbbc11.utu.fi/.
Best poster will be awarded a prize by the Scandinavian Journal of
Statistics (SJS) and the organizers!
There will be a pre-conference course on spatial statistics, keynote
lectures by
* Odd O. Aalen (Oslo)
* David Balding (London)
* Anthony Davison (Lausanne)
* Niels Keiding (Copenhagen; in the session organized by the SJS)
and special sessions on meta-analysis, models and surveillance of
infectious disease, spatial extremes/extremes in weather and climate,
bioinformatics and study designs in epidemiology. Topped by a
steamboat-trip on Monday and conference dinner at the Turku Castle on
Wednesday this is an event you should not miss! And, as an IBS member
you get a reduced participation fee!
Important! Please make sure that you reserve your accommodation in time,
as many of the hotels in Turku are already booked. We have managed to
reserve a limited number of rooms for conference participants at Holiday
Inn Turku and Cumulus Turku. Please follow the instructions on the
website to make your reservation. There are a limited number of
accommodation possibilities at student apartments as well (queries
