FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR MASTERS PROGRAMMES
The School of Geography is pleased to offer an Arts and Humanities
Research Council (AHRC) funded masters? studentship to an outstanding
student for commencement in September 2011. The studentship is awarded
as part of the AHRC?s Block Grant Partnership to Queen Mary,
University of London, and relates to the School?s master?s programmes
in Cities and Cultures and in London Studies, which are associated
with the Culture, Space and Power research theme.
To be considered for the AHRC studentship applicants must submit ? in
addition to the admissions application ? a summary of their research
interests. In no more than 750 words, please address the following
questions:
? What is the subject of your proposed master?s dissertation? (400
words max) Please include a brief title.
? Why is Queen Mary the right place for you to undertake this research?
? What ethical issues ? if any - are relevant to your research?
? How will the research training provided by your chosen master?s
programme prepare you for study at the doctoral level (if applicable)?
? What research preparation or professional experience relevant to
your chosen master?s programme do you have?
Applications must be received by Queen Mary, University of London no
later than Friday 11th March 2011.
