Dear all,
I just installed the new SL5 BDII_site (vserv02.hep.phy) and now it's
acting wried. If I do:
# bdii-update -c /opt/bdii/etc/bdii.conf
it works but ldapsearch fails:
[root@vserv02 etc]# ldapsearch -x -H ldap://vserv02.hep.phy.cam.ac.uk:2170 -b mds-vo-name=UKI-SOUTHGRID-CAM-HEP,o=grid
# extended LDIF
#
# LDAPv3
# base <mds-vo-name=UKI-SOUTHGRID-CAM-HEP,o=grid> with scope subtree
# filter: (objectclass=*)
# requesting: ALL
#
# search result
search: 2
result: 32 No such object
matchedDN: o=grid
# numResponses: 1
I can query my other BDII_site from vserv02 though. Checked slapd, and
it's running fine:
[root@vserv02 etc]# netstat -ntpl | grep slapd
tcp 0 0 131.111.66.161:2170 0.0.0.0:* LISTEN 4112/slapd
The only difference I found is here:
[root@vserv02 ~]# ps -ef | grep slap
ldap 4112 1 0 Feb18 ? 00:00:05 /usr/sbin/slapd -f /etc/bdii/bdii-slapd.conf -h ldap://vserv02.hep.phy.cam.ac.uk:2170 -u ldap
On the other boxes, it's run by edguser. Does any one know anything
about it or where should I look to fix it?
JFYI, I installed from this repo:
http://grid-deployment.web.cern.ch/grid-deployment/glite/repos/3.2/glite-BDII_site.repo
Cheers,
Santanu
