Invasive plant medicine: the ecological benefits and healing abilities of invasives
Timothy Lee Scott
Rochester, Vermont: Healing Arts Press (2010)
Scott provides a positive account of the healing potential of invasive plants which is largely US based.
Having used some of these plants as a herbal practitioner in the UK where there are plenty of invasives I have some sympathy with the idea of controlling them by harvesting. But I wonder if there are any clear policies about introductions of non-native species for medicinal use (which might or might not be invasive), and whether anyone can advise on how 'invasiveness potential' can be assessed.
Thanks
Anne
