Social media and Web 2.0 use many technologies including RSS feeds, blogs, micro-blogging, wikis, social networking and podcasts.
Increasing focus is being placed on the connection between social media tools and technologies and the management of federal government information resources.
An increased number of information resources created by federal government departments using social media tools and technologies has created new challenges, issues and questions to address.
Two recently published documents address managing federal government records in the age of social media and are featured in a special section of this month's newsletter.
