HPC-Europa: research visits using High Performance Computing
HPC-Europa is an EC-funded programme which allows scientists to carry
out short "transnational access" research visits to collaborate with a
research department working in a similar field.
Applicants can be working in any discipline, but MUST require the use of
High Performance Computing facilities (for large-scale computer
modelling, etc).
Visitors work closely with a "host" research group working in a similar
field of research - over 200 research groups in 7 countries are
currently associated with the programme as "host" research groups (see
webpage for more details).
Visits can last between 3 weeks and 3 months.
HPC-Europa pays travel and living costs and provides accommodation.
Following EC guidelines, applications are particularly encouraged from
the new EU member countries and those who do not have access to similar
computing facilities at their home institute.
The programme is open to researchers of all levels, from postgraduate
students to the most senior professors.
The next closing date for applications is MONDAY 28th FEBRUARY.
Closing dates are held every 3 months, and the HPC-Europa programme
continues until December 2012.
Further information and the on-line application form can be found at
http://www.hpc-europa.eu/
Any questions not answered by the information on the webpage can be
addressed to the HPC-Europa helpdesk at [log in to unmask]
