List members may like to be aware of the following notification that I
have today received from Marie in the Office of the Mining Institute
:
" BBC Look North is featuring the Mining Institute's Library and
Lecture
Theatre in a short series on the North's splendid interiors. Presented
by
John Grundy, the well known architectural historian, it is part of a
short
series about places to visit during the winter months. It highlights
the
superb interiors to be found in buildings in the North that the public
generally know little about.
Grundy's North is expected to be featured this coming Thursday (3
February)
on BBC Look North between 6.30 and 7pm subject to scheduling on the
news
events on the day. This is excellent publicity for the Institute and
is
likely to reach over a million people in the Region viewed on 400,000
sets.
If you can't watch the programme, it may be possible to view it later
via
the BBC local news website or on BBC i-player. The producer will send
me a
link and possibly a tape. He has commented to me today that the
programme
looks very good. "
I realise that many list members will not be able to receive the
broadcast on the BBC Look North programme, however as indicated it may
be possibele to view it on the local news website or on BBC i-player
and I will post the link if this becomes available.
