The Manchester MAs in Drama offer diverse, flexible and challenging programmes of study for students wanting to enhance their artistic and professional career options and/or prepare for doctoral study. They include 60 credits of structured delivery followed by a range of opportunities for students to construct a bespoke programme from specialist areas.
We offer MAs in Screen Studies, Theatre and Performance, and Theatre and Performance (Applied Theatre pathway). For more information about our MA programmes go to:

Drama was rated 4* and 3* in 85% of our research outputs in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise. Our staff are research-active within the four main strands that comprise our particular profile: theatre studies, applied theatre, theatre history and screen studies. The notions of ‘dialogue’ – with ideas, practices, and communities – and ‘social engagement’ – developing critical awareness of the impact of research and practice - are at the heart of all our practical and intellectual explorations.
