The South London Gallery (SLG) is recruiting a *Young People's Web Content
Manager* for the *Louis Vuitton Young Arts Project*.
This is an exceptional opportunity to work with a leading luxury brand and
five major art institutions in London. The SLG is looking for a dynamic and
enterprising person to lead on identifying, producing and commissioning
content for a new contemporary art website built for and by young people.
The Louis Vuitton Young Arts Project (LVYAP) connects five major art
institutions (South London Gallery, Whitechapel Gallery, Royal Academy, Tate
Britain and Hayward Gallery) through their young people’s programmes. This
three-year project has been initiated by Louis Vuitton and is being led and
managed by the South London Gallery. The project is designed to give young
Londoners from across the city unique access to the art world and forge
links between existing young people’s groups.
Working with the LVYAP Project Manager based at the SLG, you will develop an
evolving online resource founded through the expression of young people. As
well as moderating user-generated content, you will collaborate closely with
the project partners to create website content that is both engaging and of
a consistently high quality.
You will be an experienced web manager with excellent copywriting skills and
a particular interest in writing for young people and the web. You will have
a keen interest in contemporary art and be able to demonstrate an innovative
approach to engaging new online audiences. A good understanding of online
community management and the potential of social media is essential.
The post is *full-time* and is offered on an initial *12 month contract* with
possibility of extension.
The salary is *c.£23-25,000* pa.
