Intranet Roadmap Workshop 1: translating user requirements into a
high-performance intranet
To be held at:
The Hatton, 51-53 Hatton Garden, London EC1N 8HN
Wednesday, 30 March, 2011 – 09:30-16:30
Workshop Outline
This is the first of several Intranet Roadmap Workshops, aimed at
helping intranet managers and those with intranet responsibilities
achieve both their personal and corporate intranet objectives. This
workshop will concentrate on the journey from defining user requirements
through to a high-performance intranet. During the course of the
workshop delegates will be encouraged to develop, and hopefully share,
their own personal agenda for what they are going to try to achieve in
the next three-six months. Techniques and lessons learnt from a wide
variety of organisations will be offered, while the day will focus on an
exchange of experience as well as guidance on best practice from the
workshop leader.
Topics covered will include:
* How intranets can add value to an organisation
* How to determine user requirements, through techniques such as the
Microsoft Product Reaction Cards,
* How to translate this into a business plan for investment in enhancing
an
intranet
* How to measure the effectiveness of the intranet
Who should attend:
Intranet and web managers and others with intranet responsibilities
seeking to expand their understanding of high performance intranets and
take their organisations’ intranets to the next level.
Course Presenter: Martin White
Martin is the Managing Director of Intranet Focus Ltd, and is an
intranet strategy consultant with a global reputation. He is the author
of “Intranet Management Handbook” (Facet Publishing February 2011) and
will be offering experience based on over 10 years working with an
international range of clients on intranet strategy and the
specification, selection and implementation of content management.
