I don’t know how many lis linkers have seen the RIN paper on e-only for scholarly journals, but it seems to me that no attention is given to the matter of subject and genre, or that in a library, one does not only use a journal, one uses a pile of material across media. When I watch people working, I seem them working with piles, and piles don't work on a screen.
But it is the matter of subject and genre, of controlled vocabulary, or the limits of search, which seems to me central. I wonder whether yet again I am almost alone in this?
